How Would You Answer?

Earlier this week Joel Osteen and his wife Victoria appeared on the "Piers Morgan Tonight" show.  During the show he was asked by Morgan if homosexuality was a sin.  You can find his answer in this transcript of the show. 

Honestly, I'm surprised Osteen even appeared on the show.  Al Mohler wrote a great article this week about the dynamics of that show.  I agree with Mohler that it's hard to believe Osteen did not know he would receive that question from Morgan. 

But despite what Osteen said or did not say, the real question is, "How Would You Answer?"

Yesterday I read this excellent piece on marriage by Dan Phillips. Then today I worked with a couple where this exact scenario is in place. It was great to use this as a resource. Arizona and the Heart of Man

I have read dozens of articles, blogs, and comments regarding the shootings in Arizona from this past week.  None of them however have bettered captured the truth of the situation than this one by Kevin DeYoung.  I encourage to sit down quietly and take the time to read it well.

Auld Lang Syne

It's 2011!  A few hour ago as I watched on television the ball drop at Times Square in New York to usher in the New Year, I heard the crowd singing that once-a-year song, "Auld Lang Syne".  I never have known what that phrase means!

This morning while reading, I came across this article by Peggy Noonan in the Wall Street Journal that answered all my long-occuring questions about the song.  Take a moment and enjoy it as you begin 2011.
